Our efforts began
in 1990 with attention to gastrointestinal (GI) diseases, most specifically
to the immediate diagnosis of intestinal obstruction. The research has
since expanded to focus on GI perforation, delayed gastric emptying,
pneumothorax (collapsed lung), endotracheal tube malposition detection,
vascular graft integrity, and other projects. The scientific advances
have been in the arenas of signal processing, sensors, and modeling.
